Cozaar can be taken with or without food. Losartan should be used only when clearly needed during the first three months of pregnancy. The use of Losartan is contraindicated during the last six months of pregnancy as it can cause serious fetal harm (possibly death). Patient should avoid taking potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium as it can cause muscle weakness or very slow heartbeats.
